\nKeyboard Shortcuts for Text Formatting\"\"<\/span><\/h3>\n

All standard formatting shortcuts are fully supported inside text boxes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

All of these shortcuts are guarded so they only activate when you are actively editing inside a text box, preventing interference with canvas-level interactions.<\/p>\n

Bold, Italic, Underline<\/span><\/h3>\n

The standard Ctrl+B<\/span>, Ctrl+I<\/span>, and Ctrl+U<\/span> shortcuts work reliably inside any text box. Each change is recorded in the undo history, so Ctrl+Z<\/span> will reverse them as expected. The ribbon buttons for these actions prevent the text box from losing focus when clicked, ensuring the formatting is always applied to the correct selection.<\/p>\n

Clear Formatting<\/span>\"\"<\/h3>\n

Press Ctrl+Space<\/span> while text is selected to strip all manual formatting – bold, italic, underline, custom fonts, colours, and sizes – and reset the selection back to the document default style (Segoe UI, 12px). This is particularly useful for cleaning up pasted content from external sources.<\/p>\n

Change Case<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Change Case<\/strong> button is found in the Text Box Tools contextual ribbon. Clicking it (or pressing Shift+F3<\/span>) cycles your selected text through four formatting variants in sequence:\"\"<\/p>\n

    lowercase<\/strong> – all characters in lower case.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Sentence case<\/strong> – first letter capitalised, rest lower.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    UPPERCASE<\/strong> – all characters in upper case.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Capitalize Each Word<\/strong> – title case.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Your text selection is preserved across each cycle, so you can keep pressing Shift+F3<\/span> to step through options without needing to re-select.<\/p>\n

    Small Caps<\/span><\/h3>\n

    \"\"Press Ctrl+Shift+K<\/span> (or Cmd+Shift+K<\/span> on macOS) with text selected to toggle Small Caps formatting. This wraps the selection in a non-destructive inline span with font-variant: small-caps<\/span> applied. Pressing the shortcut again on already-formatted text intelligently strips the span and restores the original casing. The change is fully tracked by the undo system.<\/p>\n

    Superscript & Subscript<\/span><\/h3>\n

      Superscript:<\/strong> Ctrl+Shift++<\/span> – raises selected characters above the baseline. Ideal for dates (10th<\/sup>), mathematical exponents (x2<\/sup>), or footnote markers.<\/span>\"\"<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Subscript:<\/strong> Ctrl+=<\/span> – drops selected characters below the baseline. Ideal for chemical formulas (H2<\/sub>O) or footnote indicators.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Both shortcuts plug directly into the browser’s native execCommand<\/span> API and are integrated with the undo stack.<\/p>\n

      Font Size Nudging<\/span><\/h3>\n

      For fine-grained typographic control without reaching for the mouse, use:
