Open Publisher is designed to be highly optimized and lightweight, ensuring it runs smoothly on both modern workstations and older hardware.

Minimum SpecificationsPlatforms

  • Windows: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit).

  • macOS: macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or newer.

  • Linux: Any 64-bit distribution supporting .deb, .rpm, or AppImage formats.

  • Hardware: Minimum 2GB RAM (4GB recommended for large documents) and 500MB of free disk space.

Open Publisher will automaticity use the latest version. Every time you launch the application, it automatically checks for and applies the latest features direct from GitHub, this includes performance improvements, features and bug fixes in the background – keeping you on the latest version effortlessly.

This seamless always up-to date workflow will remain active for all current releases. When Version 5.0 launches – which introduces a complete underlying client rewrite – you will need to manually download and run the new installer once. Until Version 5.0 arrives, your application updates are 100% automated and will never overwrite your saved preferences, custom templates, or .opub documents.
